I had the extraordinary pleasure of helping some clients close on their fantastic home in the Oak Grove neighborhood this week. This one was unique! With little time for house hunting as they made the decision to move to Georgia from Pennsylvania, we only met two or three times during their initial home search. They had a few whirlwind weekends of house hunting, and then once they found the ideal home, we came up with a compelling offer and went under contract. Then, the magic happened - from 767 miles away, they put their trust in me to handle everything from Atlanta while they wrapped up their lives and careers in Philadelphia. From relaying the inspection via FaceTime and YouTube to making and sending over CAD floorplans, we utilized technology to communicate and make it happen from afar! I was honored to serve as their agent and I hope their family has years of great memories in such a fantastic neighborhood.
If you've never heard of the Oak Grove neighborhood, you're not alone - but it's worth looking into. Like many of Atlanta's pocket or micro neighborhoods, this area of town just south of I-85 is a quiet enclave of spacious homes with nice lawns and a great family vibe. If you're looking to raise a family, you couldn't pick a better place with proximity to swim and tennis clubs, highly rated schools and lots of community involvement. The adjacent Sagamore Hills neighborhood was also at the top of the list but Oak Grove beat it out because of zoning and topography. It's sort of a rarity to find a lot with such a flat lawn and I know they'll love spending summers outside playing and enjoying a cold drink on the screened in porch. Congratulations!
